Celebrated violinist Maria Włoszczowska joins our Associate Artists Programme

We're delighted to welcome violinist Maria Włoszczowska as a member of our Associate Artists Programme - a programme of school workshops and concert performances by a select group of young and internationally renowned soloists, led by cellist Leonard Elschenbroich.Maria is the First Prize winner of the Michail Elsky International Violin Competition, Minsk, and laureate of five special awards at the XIV International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition. She was also selected as the recipient of the Royal Philharmonic Society Emily Anderson Prize, performing at the Wigmore Hall for the final of Young Classical Artist Trust (YCAT). She is supported by the Hattori Foundation and became an RPS Young Artist in 2014. This year, Maria returns to the Wigmore Hall for a recital as part of the Young Producers series with the pianist Alasdair Beatson.Maria will be appearing at our schools' symphony orchestra concerts at Hackney Empire on 13th July, performing Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 5, 1st and 2nd movements - we can't wait!Maria Włoszczowska - Associate Artist
