We are officially back in schools!

Our team and musicians are absolutely thrilled to be be returning to schools over the coming weeks, to deliver the remaining workshops of our 2019/20 programme live for all the children we are working with.

Today, the strings visited Year 6 at Tyssen Community Primary School, and played music by Beethoven, Haydn, Ravel and Piazzolla, which the children remembered amazingly well from previous workshops! They enjoyed discussing emotion, drama and storytelling in music.

Meanwhile, our woodwind players were with Year 6 at Tetherdown Primary School, introducing them to all kinds of woodwind instruments including a full quartet of saxophones! Tetherdown asked lots of brilliant questions and learnt about reeds, vibrations and sound waves, and recognised lots of famous film tunes.

We can’t wait to return to more of our schools over the next few weeks!
