Videos & Online Activities

In June we launched two brand new, online ventures. We have been missing going into schools and sharing live music with children in classrooms, so we wanted to find ways to use the joy of classical music to connect with children while they are at home.

Apollo At Home is our new video series, designed specifically to keep in touch with the schools we have been working with this year. Each week we post a new video from one of our musicians, most of whom the children know from their classroom workshops, and a few of whom are our Associate Artists. You can view all the videos on our Apollo At Home page, or on our YouTube channel.

The Creative Writing Challenge is designed for all children (including those we have worked with) of primary school age. How it works is we share a video of a performance by one of our Associate Artists, and invite you to listen to it and write a response! You don’t have to know anything about the music – you just see how it makes you feel, what it makes you imagine, or where it takes you. We hope it will get your creativity flowing. Find out how to take part on the Creative Writing Challenge page.
